Snip, Snip, Snip

Back in 1997 I met a girl while I was selling cell phones. She was a hairstylist and I needed a change. I went to see Sam and got my haircut. Over the years I have followed her around because I loved her so much. When I got married I kinda lost track of her. I was so sad because I was always pleased with my cuts. I tried to go to other stylists, but it never seemed right. I missed Sam not only for the way she cut my hair, but also the conversation that flowed when she cut it. No one seemed to be able to replace that.

In June, my sister Cathy had her baby shower. One of her friends, Candy, was there and we started talking. She cut hair too. Somehow in her conversation she said something that made me wonder if Sam worked in the same salon. To my surprise...SHE DID!! I was so excited to find her again. It took me awhile to set up an appointment, but I finally did.

On Thursday I went in for my appointment. It was so fun to see her again, and catch up on what we missed over the past few years. Here is a before and after shot of my cut. They aren't the best pictures, but they will have to do. I hadn't got my haircut since March! It wasn't really bad, but there was no style to it at all. So I got a couple of inches cut off, and added some layers.

Darling! Having a good hair stylist that you like and trust makes all the difference in the world. And to have one where conversation flows smoothly? That is just the icing on the cake.

Man! It must be the week of new hair ... Jen Reynolds had hers cut off too! It looks great & I think I like the shorter hair on you best or maybe it's the layers around your face ... anyways, it looks really good!

Well, I must admit that I like your longer hair better but mainly because I'm a long-hair kind of gal myself. :) Even so, your new haircut looks fantastic on you! I'm so glad you found your favorite hair stylist!

I need to find myself a good stylist too!
