Loving the Weekend

We had a pretty low key weekend.

I hate the crowds that Valentines Day brings so we opted to stay home, and enjoy the evening with the kids.

We also took the time that night to go from this
To this
He already seems so much bigger. Can you believe he is going to be 1 in just a few weeks??!!!

On Sunday morning we woke up to a barking little girl.

Don't you love the family cycle of germs???

Caden had already had a cough, and Thomas was still recovering from his croup.

Shawn and I ended up taking turns going to church so the kiddos could stay home.

So far Sydney is doing pretty good.

Her cough is already breaking up, and she never got a fever. So I am hoping that is a good sign.

The kids fell asleep rather early.

We watched a movie while tackling this project.
I am loving the change. It really ties the room together.
Hopefully it isn't too much black.

The kids are now asking what else we are going to paint black. hee hee

How was your weekend?

Do you have anything fun planned for the holiday?

I think that the fireplace looks nice. Now all you need to do is decide what accent colors you are going to go with. Buy an area rug with those colors in it and then start bringing in pieces. I would use the barn red as one color--it is the frame color of the picture of Christ. You could also add a burnt yellow. Look at your kitchen and tie the colors together with your table and the decor in there.

You can get too much black--I struggle with it as well. I have a sage carpet so I have incorporated a lot of red(color wheel complimentary colors). I have just started to add bits of the dark yellow.

It is looking wonderful.

The haircut makes me cringe, they grow so fast. My "baby" is four and I remember people telling me they were going to cut his hair if I didn't. I just hated losing that baby look!!

I love the paint and the whole room! How great to be in a nice new home. Also, I agree...cutting a boy's hair makes him age several months. It makes it hard to do sometimes even when they need it!
