July 4th Giveaway!

July-4-button-180pix.jpg
I don't think that I can say enough about 5 Minutes for Mom. Those girls really know how to promote things, and they are doing it yet again! In honor of July 4th they will be having multiple giveaways. Just click on over to this post and it will give you the lowdown on what you need to do!

Their first contest is for a Krups GVS1 Ice Cream Maker and a 4 piece set of Rosanna Sweet Dreams Bowls courtesy of SplendidLife.com. I am a sucker for homemade Ice Cream, and would love to win this.

The bowls are also the cutest thing ever! They come in four different shades and have writing on the inside. So I am crossing my fingers, and toes...hopefully I will win.

Hurry and go check out the details! Don't forget they will be adding additional items until July 4 so keep checking in to see if there is something you would like to win. Good Luck!

I've been eyeing ice cream makers for awhile now. But the jiggly flab under my arm tells me I need to stay far, far away!!

Hey Crystal! You'll have to try that microwave cake and tell me what you think! I thought it actually tasted pretty normal (not rubbery). I made one a couple days later and didn't have any pie filling or sour cream, so I used a yellow cake mix and put 8oz cream cheese softened with 1 cup of applesauce (to keep it moist) along with the 3 eggs. I sprinkled nuts and coconut in the bottom of the pan before I poured the batter in. When it was done I flipped it onto a plate, poked holes all over in it and poured a can of eagle brand milk and then this butterscotch sauce I had made over the top and Rob said it was the best cake he had ever had. It is fun to experiment with. My poor family always get to try my experiments!
